Hello and welcome to the world of digital Bible journaling!

In this guide, I will show you how to use our Rejoice Always collect for digital Bible journaling.

Digital Bible journaling is a contemporary way to engage with scripture by using a hyperlinked PDF Bible instead of a traditional physical Bible. With this method, you can easily navigate through the PDF using hyperlinks, eliminating the need to flip through pages. You can also copy and paste as many pages as you need, so you take notes, doodle, add stickers and never have to worry about running out of space.

For best experience, we recommend digital Bible journaling on a tablet with a stylus using note-taking apps such as Goodnotes and Notability for iOS users, and Samsung notes and Penly for Android users.

Navigation bar on the top right

1. Old and new testament page

This page contains all the 66 books of the Bible, where each book is hyperlinked. When you tap on a specific book, it will take you to this book chapter page. There, you can tap on the chapter you want to navigate to, and you will be sent to the Bible page.

On the Bible page, if you want to go back to your chapter page, simply tap on the name of the book located on the top left of the page.

2. Section dividers

Our Rejoice ALWAYS digital Bible comes with 12 section dividers. Each section is linked to an unlabeled section to help you organize your notes and templates.

Here are some examples of labels for your sections:

  • Sermon notes
  • Prayer journal
  • Hymns
  • Church meetings
  • Bible Study notes
  • Book overview/summary

3. Chronological Bible reading plan

This is pretty straight forward. This page contains hyperlinked Chronological Bible reading plan for easy navigation.

4. Vision board

This page is to help you stay focused and inspire you. Add picture, quotes, Bible verses that cheer you up and lift up your mood and encourage you in your Christian-walk.

Here are some goals that you can put into pictures to help you get started:

  • Read the entire Bible in a year
  • Volunteer more
  • Be more organized
  • Be consistent with my prayer routine
  • Be grateful and appreciate the little things because God is Lord of the big and small things in life
TIP: how to add pictures to the vision board on Goodnotes 6

First, open Safari and Goonotes in split view on your iPad. On Safari, go you Pinterest and find a picture that inspire you. Then long press on the picture and drag it to your vision board.

5. Index page

This page contains hyperlinks to useful links, templates and blank pages

Although templates and blank pages can be copied and pasted anywhere in your Digital Bible, I recommend making use of the section dividers for notes and prayer related templates.
